We all know fresh cucumber slices are superb for freshening up tired eyes, but apparently that’s not all. Packed with ‘calming power’, it seems that lovely, green, organic, cucumbers can cleanse and soothe sensitive skin and nourish and hydrate delicate coloured hair. Superb.
With bold green and white packaging, this range of skin and hair products also features anti-oxidant rich Green Tea and natural moisturiser Aloe Vera to leave you supple, fresh and cool as a… well you get the idea.
I’ve been getting fresh with the Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes (RRP £4.99 for 30) and the Yes to Cucumbers Colour Care Shampoo (RRP 8.99/500ml) this week.
The Towelettes (face wipes) are great – a decent sized, strong ‘towelette’, they sweep through dirt, make-up and sunscreen while gently exfoliating, detoxifying and rejuvenating. Even better? These wipes are biodegradable, meaning they cause less of an impact to lovely old Mother Nature.
I certainly found they did the job with relative ease and left my skin feeling cool and fresh. I absolutely love the ‘smell’ of cucumber, which is subtle but very addictive. Compact in size, they are ideal for festivals, holidays and weekends away. Or simply to carry around for on-the-spot freshen-ups on long, hot summer days.
The Shampoo – in a reassuringly family-sized bottle, contains Centaurea Extract, which helps protect hair from light and lock in colour treated hair (obviously I’m a natural blonde though…ahem). I find it very gentle and my Partner remarked that it was really, really ‘fresh’ – not just heavy-on-the-fragrance-fake-fresh, but really, clean-fresh. Praise indeed.

Not Crazy About: They smell good enough to eat. But we mustn’t. That’s it really.
